Your body and mind are inseparable.
So many people become depressed, anxious, sleep-deprived and socially withdrawn because of the pressures of modern life. I have seen this first-hand, with patients, friends and family. What’s more is that biochemical deficiencies such as metabolic or hormone imbalances, or poor cognitive performance are often key drivers of mood disorders.
In order to cope, some turn to smoking and alcohol misuse or become reliant on addictive stimulants and depressants. Undoubtedly, this just exacerbates their symptoms in the long-run. Meanwhile, others take psychiatric prescriptions with varying degrees of success.
What if I told you there is more to your poor mood than a simple chemical deficiency in the brain?
Would you invest in your health if you had new answers that target the root causes and not just your individual symptoms?
My tailored approach optimises your nutrition to achieve this goal, considering any existing prescriptions you may be currently taking.
My high drive to perform at work, whilst living in the London ‘rat-race’, meant that prioritising my health took a back seat.
Indeed, it took time and effort to plan meals, prepare healthy food and make time for exercise and rest. At this point, I often experienced brain fog, fatigue and on occasion, felt quite anxious and depressed.
It was a real wake-up call for me, realising that a deficiency in even the simplest nutrient can have devastating effects on health; a fact which can be corrected easily, with some very basic tests and nutritional therapy.
I know from personal experience, how nutritional therapy can improve your mood, help you think more clearly, feel calm, have more energy and become the best version of your self.
To me, the best of both worlds, is to combine conventional medical treatments with the science of nutrition to optimise the unique biochemical profile of the whole body.
My in-depth process considers all the integrated body systems and how they are interconnected. In short, I do not consider your symptoms in isolation.
I don’t prescribe generalised diets or “quick-fix” solutions, as not everyone fits into a neat box and there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Most importantly, I complement your doctor’s advice for therapeutic success and always check your plans for safety with any medications.
